What are IQ tests?
First attempts at measuring human intelligence reach as far as the onset of 20th century, when the French psychologist Alfred Binet created the first IQ test dedicated to measuring intellectual capabilities in children. Another person who made an impact on the scientific world in the psychometric tests department is American scientist David Wechsler. He was the author of a set of tasks designed to measure intelligence in adults. Wechsler scale tests are in use to this day, and the IQ Quiz available here is one of them. In the year 1948 in Australia, an organization called Mensa was founded, which would accept the most intelligent people in the world. To become a member, an intelligence quotient of at least 130 points is required.
